Saif al-Islam, the purported caputred son of falling Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi, is actually not in the custody of the rebels, not that it matters now. The compound Bab al-Aziziya has been captured by Libyan rebels, signaling the denouement of this heroic struggle to overthrow a dictator. With the embassy in DC now representing the Libyan Transitional Government, and the Bab in the hands of the rebels, the remaining days of Qaddafi’s reign may be mere hours at this point.
