The Financial Times tells us that we’re not buying enough stamps and because of this, the USPS is being ‘pushed towards’ insolvency. I didn’t know I was actively against the Post Office, we have a pretty good relationship in all. It is sad though if this country’s mail service is bankrupt. What kind of banana republic are we? Not the fashionable kind. Starting to look a little Old Navy up in this. I can only imagine if I have to send a simple letter through FedEx or UPS. Not going to happen. Maybe a whole new courier business will spring up form the ashes of the USPS but that’s just an optimistic libertarian assessment of a sad situation.
