A fifteen year-old girl by the name of Nichole Cable, from Glenburn, Maine, was missing for a week before her body was discovered in the woods off of Route 43 near Oldtown. Nichole’s cause of death has not yet been determined, but the involvement of 20 year-old Kyle Dube has shed some light on this bizarre and tragic case. Allegedly, Kyle Dube had plotted to kidnap Nichole in the woods and then rescue her from her captor, who was himself. During the course of this scheme, Dube kidnapped Nichole, duct-taped her mouth, and transported her in the back of his father’s truck where Nichole’s life ended. Kyle Dube then left Nichole’s body in the woods covered with sticks and returned to his girlfriend’s home where he revealed the details of this tragic story.
Kyle Dube was indicted on Wednesday for charges of murder and kidnapping. Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Nichole Cable.
