Silicon Valley meets with President-elect Donald Trump to discuss job creation and tech innovation
Tech Leaders Talk With Donald Trump On Creating Jobs | MSNBC
Donald Trump promised Tech CEO’s that he and his administration would be there for them and would work to help them. He and the leaders of the world’s most powerful technology companies also agreed to meet quarterly to discuss the state of the industry. Apple CEO Tim Cook and Tesla executive Elon Musk were scheduled to meet privately with Donald Trump later on Wednesday December 14, 2016. Trump said he wanted “to keep going with the incredible innovation,” and was joined in the meeting by his daughter Ivanka Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos said ““I shared the view that the administration should make innovation one of its key pillars, which would create a huge number of jobs across the whole country, in all sectors, not just tech — agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing — everywhere.” Tech CEO’s share Trump’s belief in cutting the corporate tax rate from 35% to 15% and wants to work with the companies to bring back money currently held overseas.
